Strategic Planning Process – New Survey!
We are excited by the feedback already gathered regarding our strategic planning efforts and want to offer families and community members an additional opportunity to help us refine our planning to guide this important work. Your responses to our
very quick, 3-question survey (which should take three minutes or less) will help our teams refine what we heard in February’s focus groups, share additional perspectives, and shape our collective direction. Your voice is important, and we appreciate your input in shaping the future of Wilmette Public Schools District 39.
D39 Information on High School "Paranoia" Game
We are aware that some high school seniors may be participating in “Paranoia,” a game in which players use nerf toy weapons to eliminate competitors, often using the element of surprise. As the game progresses, it often extends into areas of the local community.
We want to take this time to remind our families that all weapons, including replica or toy weapons, are not allowed on school grounds at any time, per District policy. Students who violate this policy will be subject to disciplinary action. Please reference
Board Policy 7:190 Student Behavior for more information. The game of paranoia should not be played on school grounds at any time.
Parent Education
Make plans to join us for our next Parent Education event titled “When Love Doesn’t Conquer All – Dealing With Behavior Difficulties.” This event will be held virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, April 15 at 11 am.
Registration for this event is open now. Please

Acceleration Process Update
At the March 23 Board of Education meeting, an update was shared regarding adjustments made to the Single-Subject Acceleration Process for the 2026-27 school year. Criteria for acceleration is
outlined online, and families of students who score in the 99th percentile of the next grade on two of three most recent MAP tests received notification in February of the opportunity to complete an Application for Consideration of Single Subject Acceleration. Families not contacted, but interested in consideration, may complete a
Request for Consideration. (K-1st grade students are considered based on individual family request to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction). The request form submission deadline has been extended through Monday, April 13, 2026 for this year.
