Wilmette District 39 has been awarded the highest possible rating, an Aaa, from Moody’s Investors Service. The Aaa bond rating for General Obligation Limited Tax School Bonds (GOLT) is at the top of Moody’s rating scale and is reflective of the District’s commitment to financial responsibility, stability, and long-term planning.

This rating illustrates the district's ability to repay debt and its locations within a stable local economy in the larger Chicago metro area. The Aaa GOLT rating is the same as the issuer rating and is based on a broad all available funds pledge, with debt service supported by a dedicated debt service extension base tax levy.

“Maintaining our Aaa rating – the highest on the scale – is significant for District 39,” said Amy Poehling, President of the District 39 Board of Education. “This is representative of our long-standing and continued commitment to maintaining a strong financial position while providing our students with a high-quality education. This rating is also a testament to the strength and stability of our community, and our careful, long-term planning and budgeting.”
