Bus Registration is Now Open!
Bus registration for the 2026-27 academic year is now open. Families received an email from District 39 on Monday regarding Bus Registration. Families can register for the bus via
the PowerSchool Parent Portal by selecting “balance” and then “make a payment.” Full registration instructions and more information about our D39 transportation service are available on
our D39 transportation website.
Board of Education
The Board gathered on Monday night for its regular monthly business meeting. In addition to hearing committee reports, the Board was presented with, and approved, both the district’s
2027 Consolidated District Plan and the
D39 Audit Services Contract. The Board also conducted a first reading of
Board policy 8:30.
Agendas and materials for all Board of Education meetings are posted online the Friday prior to the meeting.
Parent Education
District 39, in partnership with The Alliance for Early Childhood, the Wilmette Public Library, BackYard Nature Center, Go Green Wilmette, Kids Science Labs, the Wilmette Park District, A. Perry Homes, and the Wilmette Police Department is proud to be hosting an in-person, all-community “Let’s Play” event on Saturday, May 9 from 10 am-Noon at Romona Elementary.
This hands-on, family-friendly event invites children to dive into open-ended, child-led play experiences that spark imagination, build confidence, and support healthy development. This event is free and open to all District 39 families. This is an outdoor experience; in the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
