Registration for the 2026-27 school year is now open! ALL students, including those already attending D39 schools, must register for the 2026-27 academic year and we encourage families to please register your child(ren) as soon as possible. Early registration helps us plan for class placement and staffing, and ensure we are able to hire the very best teachers around!

• For returning students, visit the PowerSchool Parent Portal, click on the registration link, and follow the instructions.
• For students new to D39, visit wilmette39.org/enroll for instructions on the new student registration process.

Board of Education
The Board of Education gathered on Monday night for its regular monthly business meeting. A public hearing was held regarding the 2026-27 academic year calendar and proposed days for student attendance. In addition, the Board approved the 2026-27 school calendar, the D39 Budget Calendar, fees for our Summer Enrichment Program, and an updated Intergovernmental Agreement with the Village of Wilmette, while also conducting a first reading of several Board policies. Agendas and materials for all Board of Education meetings are posted online the Friday prior to the meeting.

School Culture and Climate Survey (CSCI)
As part of our ongoing goal to create outstanding learning environments within our District 39 schools, our schools will be administering a school climate survey over the coming weeks. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for us to reach out to all members of our learning community to solicit their feedback. For the past two years, we have administered the Comprehensive School Climate Inventory (CSCI), as a student-centered tool that reflects our schools’ focus and work and provides valuable, actionable data based upon responses.

The CSCI survey window for D39 families will open on Monday, Feb. 9 and we encourage all families to participate in this important survey. A link for completing the survey on behalf of each of your children will be shared next week.

Parent Education
Please mark your calendar for our next D39 Parent Education event, “Parenting in the Digital Age,” set for Wednesday, Feb. 11 via Zoom. This is one of our most popular presentations and one that addresses a topic that is at the forefront for many families in our community. Registration for this event is open now. Please visit our D39 Parent Education webpage for our full 2025-26 schedule as well as recordings from previous events.
